The Alpine Biomass Committee has reserved Turtle Rock Park for our first public meeting on June 21 at 6:00 pm. We have a distinguished speaker lined up who will be making a presentation on the problems and opportunities associated with being a forest community in the Sierra Nevada. We are hoping to attract a broad spectrum of opinions from the public as well as representatives from agencies that manage the land and waters of our community. We are hopeful that all of you with an interest in any or all of having a fire safe community, improving forest and watershed help, and strengthening our local economy will join us. More details will be forthcoming as they become available.
This program is funded by a grant from the National Forest Foundation with funding coming from Region 5 of the U.S. Forest Service.
Promoting fire safe communities, healthy forests and watersheds, and a strong sustainable local economy.
